    Default Autodesk Showcase with Revit

I'm experimenting with Autodesk Showcase, it seems to do exactly what I'm looking for but so far it seems too slow for large architectural projects. I exported a revit project to FBX, it was about 80MB, the file took 30 minutes to open in showcase and is very very slow to do anything in Showcase.
I’m using an i7 Quad Core, 8GB ram, and NVIDIA Quadro 1000M Optimus Graphics technology (2GB), windows 7 (64bit)
anyone there have experience in using showcase with Revit?

there were about four or five AU sessions this year that talked about using Revit and Showcase together. you should check them out.

Depending on what you are trying to do you should try to limit the geometry that is being export in the FBX that should speed things up.

If the entire model isn't required, I would "chunk out" rooms in 3D views by using the section box. This has helped me out tremendously! i.e. section out a conference room, a typical office and maybe the mechanical room w/ equipment for the FM guy. Open 2 or 3 sessions independently of each other and just flip between them during a meeting. Most clients realize where they are in the building if they are familiar with the project. Depends on the client though.
