Default My Search Sets don't work

Full disclosure: I'm a Navis N00b. Even worse; I'm self taught.

I've got a Navis model with 4 mwc files exported from Revit: Shell, Interior, Structural, and HVAC.
Once upon a time, I had a couple of simple searches set up for a clash.
One Set had Item Type Contains Structural Framing
and the other set had Item Type Contains Duct

I know it's not very sophisticated. I'm just using it to learn.
It used to work for running a Clash, but now the Search Sets don't find anything - even if I just use the Set for Selection.
I assume I've flipped off some setting somewhere, but I don't know what.
    Here's a screen shot:

Can you see anything I've screwed up that would cause my Search Sets to come up empty?
One more add-on question - possibly related. How do I get in to modify a Search Set? The Wiki Help wasn't much help. All I found there was Update, which updates the results, not the query.

    Thanks

Further investigation shows that somethings is not as is once was.
If I select a Duct, and look at the Properties, Navis tells me the the Item Type is "Solid".
I swear it used to say "Duct"
Pretty much everything I list tells me it's "Solid"

    Dang!
I thought that might have been it. Found the "Select & Search"..."Selection Resolution" option was set to "Geometry". So I change it to "First Object" and now the Properties list correctly.
But my Search still says "No Objects Found"

Think I replied to somebody else having the same problems with Clash Detection and clash-related search sets set up in a previous version. Try removing the searches and rebuilding them in the new version, and re-exporting the clash conditions XML.

    Wow! That was painful.
I finally figured out that my default Search was set to First Object.
Go to the Applications Menu (aka Big Green N), then Options.
Expand the Interface tree branch and pick Selection.
Finally, set the Resolution to File

Hooray! My Clashes are finding problems again! wait...is that a good thing?

I've got a feeling this one isn't over as of yet..

You need to select the drawing files themselves in the Find Items palette, right there on the left side of where you're creating your selection set. Make sure Match Case is also unchecked. Check your results in the Selection Tree AFTER you click on Find All.

The Resolution is more for when you are selecting something while working in the model more so than when you are creating a selection set.

    YMMV
Give a man AutoCad, and he'll draw you a floor plan.
Give a man Revit and he'll build you a house.
Give Cadmama a couple of drinks and she'll have everyone singing Rockytop!
