Default Door Family Symbolic Line Visibility by Phase

Good Morning. I am working on a renovation project where we will be fixing some doors in place (for historic preservation purposes). Is there a way to set up symbolic lines within our door family that show the door open at 45deg on our demolition plans (Phase Filter: Show Previous + Demo) and show the door closed on our floor plans (Phase Filter: Show Previous + New)? In other words, can I tie the visibility of symbolic lines to the phase filter of the view? If so, can anyone help with the formula syntax?

    Thanks.

You cant tie a parameter to a phase setting. Instead, I would suggest you do it with a naming protocol. ie: the type name 'Existing 810..." "New 810..." then change the door swing angle parameter to 0 degrees or 45 degrees to suit (I'm assuming you do have door swing angle parameters?)
An alternative graphic standard is to show existing door swings with a straight line as the swing, and new ones with a curved swing (our doors have an on/off type parameter called "Curved Plan Swing")

My firm's standard doors have a angle parameter controlling the door symbolic line work in plan. It does not control the nested door panel. We then take care of existing/new with a type naming convention. What gets difficult is having several phases for new construction, and trying to graphically represent them. Doors from previous phases will screen, but their swing angle will not adjust automatically. What you are looking to do is not currently possible.

    Sorry for the bad news,
    Jeff S.
