Default split region tied to base constraint

trying to add a stone base to a brick/stud wall. i need the stone base to go 2' above the base constraint and allow the bottom of the wall to move with a stepped footing. pretty basic construction method. if i split the region at the 2' mark on the wall it changes material based on the bottom of the wall and not base on the base constraint. any way to lock it to the main floor finish floor level rather than the bottom (stepping footing)level.

Try using Edit Profile on the wall.

I don't think you can do what you are asking with the Wall Properties>Edit Structure>Split Region tools.
