Angry Drawing list of recently opened files

In my recent documents list under the big A all but 2 of the files listed are sheet sets. The problem is these sheets sets were created about 5 years ago and they haven't been opened in over 3 years (mostly likely in ACAD 2010, not one of them has been opened in 2013). I have opened and saved more than enough drawings without opening a sheet set to a point that the list should be filled with nothing but DWGs. This didn't occur in 2102, the list in 2012 is filled with nothing but DWGs.

Does anyone else have this "problem"? Have you been able to "fix" it?

Yes, a lot of folks have this. I do as well, except, I use SSM constantly, so I don't need to change it.

Try looking in this thread for a work around:

lol, true, there was a lot of back and forth and side discussion there, but, it seemed to be the only thread that really offered a solution, whereas the rest of the times this topic was brought up, it was a general complaint or a wish that it was fixed.

Lately, I've started to do more .NET development than LISP... Perhaps I'll put together a plug-in that does this automagically, using an IExtensionApplication.Initialize() call to configure the desired registry entries before Acad.lsp, and AcadDoc.lsp are even loaded (presuming the .NET assembly were set to auto[-NET-load from registry).

    Yay, infinite improbability drive!

My problem with the list is that quite often the most recent drawings opened do not show up at all in the list after exiting AutoCAD and starting up the next day, unless I pin them down.

He (Jeff) always beats me to it! LoL

Doing some searching for documentation for an aspect of the plug-in I said I'd start coding, I come across this post.

The stand-alone application (AutoCAD Recent Documents Manager.exe) that Jeff coded is simply awesome... So good in fact, that I'm not even going to bother finish coding the one I started today. You should check it out.

As always... Great job, Jeff (in case he stops by AUGI)!!!
