I have tried to insert an excel file but it will not insert all of the worksheet selected
If you try to link the file into autocad the insertion becomes smaller
any ideas?
thanks

Hi
Have a browse of the following threads (especially take note of any links within) -
OLE
Excel Spreadsheets in AutoCAD 2002
Plotting an Excel file in 2004
Change to excel docs
Sizing and OLE Object window in AutoCAD
ACAD 2004 OLE OBJECTS
OLE'S WON'T BEHAVE
Have a good one, Mike

This is a well known problem.
Check out the exchange link above - if you search for excel there is some info there that Mike Perry posted which should help.
Failing that check out www.tenlinks.com - if you again search for excel there are a number of little programs which aim to cure the problem.
Don`t know how good they are, but they`re work a look.
This issue has also been covered before - if you use the search facility above you will find the previous discussions about this problem.
Hope this helps
Yes, I just did this the other day.. in your excel spreadsheet, highlight all of the form you need, then copy (CTRL-C) the selected portion. Toggle back into CAD and under "EDIT" go down to "Paste special" and if you dont want a "link" toggle that off and select the item as you'd like it to come in as. I usually select the Image entity. Then resize the picture/excel image within Autocad. try that.

tried that but it does not insert all of the excel file it seems to limit the nomber of columns or the amount of data that you can paste into Autocad
