Default Clean your drawings before you start or before you close

We have approx. 25 users who access AutoCAD with a mix of drafters, designers and EIT's many with very little CAD training. Subsequently we find many anomalies brought in by inexperienced users. The drawings need an audit or an annotative scale reset and other cleanup using the standards checker. We could do some of this automatically on startup for all drawings or as part of the save and close. I'm wondering whether there is a preference, or some experience on how to manage this.
