How do I control the extension of the footing past the end of the wall.
check your wall footing type properties, you will find default end extension distance.
0 will align to end of wall, I use 6" minimum for field forming.
or you can also pick footing and the pick grip at end of footing and drag for special cases.
this method, grip edit can be used to clean up bad corners.

OK, strange things are afoot. The end extension length had been set to 0'-0" and moving the grip didn't effect the length. But it was extending 1'-4", the same as the eccentricity. However, the eccentricity is to the opposite direction, into the building. When I changed the extension distance to match the eccentricity, It went flush with the wall. But only on one end of the wall/footing. Weird. What is going on here? I'm wondering if it has to do with the direction the wall was modeled and the +/- eccentricity. Any ideas? Thanks.
I think I'd start by placing and isolated footing under you column. That's one option.
The direction you modeled the footing will have an effect on which direction the toe/heel of a retaining wall footing goes. I don't think it makes a hill of beans if a standard wall footing.
If you needed to square off the corner, you'd need to split the wall at the face of the footing and change the footing width for the last part.
Personally it looks like an isolated footing element would work nice. Join them together and you can set a parameter on it so you can filter it out of the schedule if needed.
The other possible would be to add a foundation slab or a model in-place family (foundation category) and join them.
Hope this helps.
