    Post Sharing plot Configurations

I have created several plot configuration files and would like to share them around the office. Currently the files are stored on my C: drive somewhere. Other people need to use my dwgs with my plot settings. How can I make these available to all in the office? I tried to put them on the network drive, but I could not access them from Autocad.

Also, are AC2012 plot configuration file compatible with AC2007? As do have a few people on older systems.

    Default Re: Sharing plot Configurations

Are you talking about Plotter config files, i.e. *.pc3? If so, then they are located under your windows profile.

    %AppData%\Autodesk\AutoCAD Map 3D 2010\R18.0\enu\Plotters

You could put the pc3 files on a network folder and create a *.bat file that copies the files to the path above. Then each user would just run the bat file.

If you are talking about page setups, then just create a template and share the template. In fact, you should do both. Same goes for any custom plot styles.

I can't remember if 2007 uses pc3 files or pc2 files, but if it uses pc3 files you should be ok. The only thing that would mess up a pc3 file is if you change driver versions.
