Default Navisworks 2013 - Clash Reports - Grids and Levels

    Hi Guys

I have been happy working away with Navis 2013 and love the Grids and Level feature in it.

I am wondering though about the Reports.
I notice in the Clash reports it only give the Grid and Level location.
However in the Clash Detective (if units are set to mm) it give the exact coordinate off grid and level to where the clash is.

This would be very helpful to have in the report as grids can be up to 9 meters apart.

Anyone got any ideas, or am I missing something simple?

    Cheers
    Brian

I have been looking this over as well. I was thinking it may be a setting, hopefully, in the Quick Properties, but it isn't there. Like you, I would think this would have been a no-brainer to add into the reporting, but I can't find it if it is there. Alternatively, I was wondering if they had fixed the "report as viewpoints" to show the viewpoints as it is shown on the Results tab, but no such luck. However, in the lower left corner of the viewpoints, there I found the grid location with offsets, and the Level with offset. So, if you do both, the HTML report and the viewpoints (then publish as an NWD to hand out to everyone), you will be providing the info to your team. I agree with you though, it should be on the report as well.

    Thanks Dennis
The grid coordinates of the view point is definetly very helpful.
It just seems a bit buzzar, the full grid coordinate data is in the system but not reportable.
The long term goal would be the clash report can be read independtly of any NWD file. The NWD file should really only be the secondary form of communication and tracking. I see it more as a way to assist in complex clash resolution, as it is an aggurate model.
I'm sure we will see more from Autodesk on this.

    Cheers

BTW Brenehan, nice looking pup there on yer back. I tried to come up with a witty, "monkey on your back" comparison quip, but alas, can't think this morning.
