Is there a way to place an electronic PE Seal onto a drawing and have it disappear when the file gets modified. I was told that there is a way to do this in AutoCAD, or do you have to do something with the PDF properties?

Are you referring to a digital signature on the DWG file?

No, the "PE seal" he is talking about is a CAD version a Professional Engineer's stamp.
Roger, there is nothing in AutoCAD itself that can automatically do what you want. Perhaps when someone told you that, they were confused with the digital signature that RK mentioned? This is not something that is visible, but "digital" or mathematical. What John is referring to is to basically lock the dwg so that it can't be edited. What some have done with the seal is to make a block of the stamp and insert it and plot and then remove the "seal" block so that only the hard copy is the official version. I have written a program to do the latter. But what you want would require more custom code still that combines several technologies.
