Default Workset "Checked Out At Risk" (2013)

    Hello ALL.

Yesterday, Revit crashed while I was working on a project and saved a recovery file. I stopped working at that point. When I opened the recovery file this morning, I received the message on the attached JPEG.

What does this message mean? Is there a particular way that I should go about handling this?

    Thanks.

It means your file can't "see" the central file.

In this case I believe it means that there are worksets and/or elements that are currently checked out, that got that way when Revit crashed. It is really just acknowledging that things didn't end well before. There is another message that will refer to working at risk when your local file can't find the central file to talk to.

Open the workset dialog and show all the worksets. Scan the list for any user names. If you see a name like this username... there is more than one user listed there. Make sure there aren't any usernames other than yours. Try to use SwC. That should get things back on track.

Fortunately, I believe it meant this:

I received that other message last week & had to create a new local file.

I ended up re-synchronizing and reloading latest before I ever saw your response. It's been working fine all day.

    Not sure what SwC is.....

Was anyone else working in the file when yours crashed? If not, I usually open the recovery file and create a new central file to make sure everything is updated, since the recovery file will have the latest information. Then I close that new central file, and navigate back to it and open it so that a new local file is created.

I don't think anyone else was in it, but I'm not 100% sure.

Incidentally, I just created a new central file about 5 minutes ago.
