Default Creating window detail from dwg

    Hi

We are trying to create window details for a project using a dwg from the manufacturer. When importing the dwg into a REVIT to create the detail component family it says that the "lines are too short" when we try to explode to clean it up. Is there any way to resolve this? Alternatively, does anyone have any suggestions for the best way to create window details from manufacturer dwgs?

    Thanks

I'd spend a little time cleaning the detail up in CAD, and if there is still problems you could either redraw it in Revit, mount it as a jpg on a detail sheet or (and probably more realistic) create what's called a 'dummy' sheet which allows you to refer to it in a call out and appears in the drawing list, but you keep it as CAD and print it off outwith the Revit model.
