Ceiling Grids do not appear in Plan Views. You have to create a Ceiling Plan or set the Underlay and set the Underlay Orientation to 'Reflected Ceiling Plan'. I recommend creating Ceiling Plans, though.
ok i have narrowed the issue down a little. i linked in a architectural background from another project and it shows the ceiling grid but the correct background does not. does this shed any light?
If the View you are looking at is a Ceiling Plan, then check 'Underlay Orientation' under the View's Properties. This might be set to "Plan" but it needs to be set to "Reflected Ceiling Plan".
in visibility graphics, check the revit links tab, find the link and make sure Ceilings are on in the link. the one in your Model tab will be local ceilings that you have created
View range is good. it shows the ceiling for the one arch link but not for the other arch link
underlay orientation is set to reflected
in VG ceilings are set to be on for links and model categories
and i just noticed it is showing GWB ceilings but not the grid ceilings.
