    The tech that worked on my support case posted his answer to the adesk forums here. In my mind, that still leaves the question of where the actual font is installed unanswered.

    That does bring to mind the semi-infamous "Asian fonts not installed/do you want to install them?" dialog that pops up on some drawings.

    looking at the Font roperties in Windows Control Panel, it appears that all the "@" fonts are in .ttc files, that is TrueType Collections, not just TrueType Fonts. So they are install in Windows, either by Windows OS or MS Office, and everyother program is bright enough to filter them out. Even though AutoCAD _CAN"T_ use them as a vertical Style (the vertical checkbox is grayed out, ans supposedly the @ indicates a vertical font?)

    Yep, I've found that too.
