Hello,
our consultants build a 3d model of a ramp and I want to open as dwg showing solids, what options do they need to use to export it? I don't want meshes or triangles. Is it possible also to export as SAT files?

they have several options, for solids
export to Navisworks
or Export to CivilView for 3D Studio
or they could extract the triangles and create a Mesh Surface (possibly) or
they could also try first Export to Autocad
then export to OTHER Format and Select ACIS (.SAT) file
you will need to experiment with what works best.

there is a free plugin from autodesk labs that exports corridors as solids to revit for structural analysis. you could try that. another option is to export the mesh to CAD as mesh or 3dFACE then convert mesh to surface and convert surface to solid then use the UNION command to join the now solid triangles together.
As the software exports the format they are after, why would they use any technology preview from the labs that will expire on them?
