    Angry Can't Join Elements ????

    (please see attachment)

    Can anyone tell me why I Can't join the Pilecap with footing? it is driving me mad. It will join the elements in most places but doesn’t in other.

    Only suggestion is to select the pile cap, pick on unjoin, then try to join them again.
    Also you'll need to make sure that they are the same material.
    Really my only thoughts.
    I'm sure glad they keep adding new features when the current ones don't always work.

    Not to sound overly obvious, but are they at the same elevation? "Sometimes" I find if they are a different thickness this can impact as well. Material type is also another thought as mentioned.

    yes there is no change in level, the pilecaps and footing are all at the same level. its a strange 1 because it doesnt give me a reason why it will not join. ive tried un-joining them aswell but when i do that other areas start to messing up.

    Well there is the other work around.
    Save your file, open detached, delete the element, and the add a new one.
    It's the worst work around in the world, but hey, sometimes that's the only way to get it to work.
