Question How to purge un-wanted linetype in AutoCAD MEP 2012?

I have a CAD file that deleted everything except one line, "-purge, audit, purge, regen....", but the file size is still big. I checked the linetype that they have a lot of linetypes that I did not use before.
How to purge the un-wanted linetypes, and make this file smaller?
I can't attached big cad file.

open a new file, and insert the problem file. this process brings over only used type data.

You are using the Aecb Template, correct? If so, there's a lot of AEC Objects (among other things) that are embedded into this file. To totally wipe the slate clean, do an Export instead, enabling the option to purge during the Export. When you Export it gets rid of all the AEC Objects that are embedded into the Aecb Template file.

Thanks. export is the best way. First detach all x-refers, then -purge, save, export to autocad 2010 or the version you wanted. last step to re-xref back the detached files. File from 10mb reduce to 900kb.

When do an Export, how to set up " enabling the option to purge during the Export" in AutoCAD MEP 2012 or 2013?
