Default Problem with Visibility override in 2012

I created a slab and changed my visibility/Graphic overrrides to a grey color. When I print this slab, only about half of it will print. I checked my visibility depth, and I have several feet below the item in which to see. What should I be checking?

Are you printing using vector or raster?
when you say only half of the slab prints out, could you post a quick example?
I've run into printing issues with when we'd apply a half-tone solid pattern surface to a slab. Printing using raster fixed the problem. Of course it now take 9 times longer to print, but they look better.
