Mouse Wheel Zoom Factor AutoCAD 2013

In previous versions of AutoCAD my zoom factor when zooming in (using the mouse wheel) was different from the factor when zooming out (also using the wheel). For example, if I scroll the wheel forward one click, the view zooms, then when I scroll the wheel backward one click, the view zooms but I see more of the drawing than I did before the zoom in. In AutoCAD 2013 these zoom factors/percentages are the same.

Anyone know of a way to change the zoom-in factor separate from the zoom-out factor?

It's been driving my engineer crazy, and in turn it's bothering me. I was hoping to find some system variable that would affect the zoom factor separately, but haven't found one yet.

According to the documentation that is how it's supposed to work. So maybe it's been broken and now it's "fixed".....?

HA! ... My thoughts have been confirmed.
By pure coincidence, I was reading the comments on a blog post over at http://blog.cadnauseam.com and an Autodesk employee (Dieter Schlaepfer) commented on this very feature, saying "I’m pretty sure that the previous behavior was fixed as a defect based on customer feedback."

Thanks Autodesk! That drives me crazy! I hate it! These two various zooms... You have to zoom in and out a few times to get more or less what was previuosly. Unfortunately, I'm 2012 LT user

I always thought that the 'Asymmetrical Zoom' command using the mouse wheel was a brilliant. Sorry to see this go in 13. Hope someone finds a fix cause I'd like to be able to fix my PS windows where scale is not an issue.
