Default SECTION BUBBLES KEEP AUTO HIDING

we are running Revit 2012 with the latest updates. We are having problems with detail bubbles automatically hiding when cycling through views. In one case, two people are working in their local file, one can cycle through views and nothing happens, the second cycles through and section cuts disappear, he can go back to the view, reveal elements, and unhide the sections but the next time he cycles through, they disappear. The other case is a person working in a file that isn't workshared enabled and the same thing will happen to him. I can open both files and they are fine. Any suggestion would be appreciated

    TIA,

    Jeff

when you are in the section view. are you changing the discipline of the view? cuz if so, when you cycle back to the plan view your section will be gone if the plan is set to a different discipline than the section.
try toggling your discipline of the view you are in to the same discipline as the section and it should reappear.

Thanks for the response, but that wasn't it. The details that hide themselves are ones that reference other drafting views so the discipline doesn't seem to matter. I did test the disciplines with a live detail, the detail did disappear from the plan, but wasn't present when "reveal hidden elements" was toggled on. We have found a couple different ways to make the details disappear, but only hiding them makes them visible when the "reveal hidden elements' is toggled on. We've also tried overwriting the shortcut file, no luck

    ok. attempt two.
select the section cut. look under properties and look at the parameter for "hide at scales coarser than" if the scale there is coarser than the scale of your plan. the sections will automatically hide themselves.

    sorry.
if the view scale is coarser than the scale indicated in that parameter it will hide.

are sections turned on under VV? there are a few ways this could happen. but all of them require someone to do the clicking.
override graphics by element and unchecking visible will do the same thing.
also temp hide and applying the temp hide to the view.
are there filters affecting the sections?
if no one is messing with you then you may have a wierd bug there and i would submit to autodesk.

    Thanks for the replies.

The view scale was our first thought, but the scale matched the plan, and the detail would not be visible when "reveal hidden elements" is on. We did find that Revit is turning the Section category off when switching views but only when one particular person did it, we matched his shortcut file and option settings to the persons' that wasn't having the problem, no luck, revit still hides the category when switching views.

On a positive note, the file that wasn't workshared enabled was updated to 2013 and the issue went away. To bad we can update the other one.

    We found the problem.

it was an add-in that was causing this behavior, once we disabled it, there were no problems with the detail bubbles.

Any chance you might share which add-in? I seem to be having the same issue.
