Default Fatal error occurs- while working in canal formation (earth work quantity calculation)- various grading criterias

im working as a project engineer in canal formation (earth work quantity calculation ) for around 2 KMs, i used feature lines for by adopting varoius grading criterias. while working for full stretch of canal my system doesn't runs displays " FATAL error - project cannot be saved..." i tried several times.... its time consuming only...?. Thus i seperated the canal stretch into 13 segments by offset gap type command - merged the continuation points to complete the work. why does the software doesn't runs for full stretch...? as a sample i attached for 4 segments & full stretch canal by using orbit view you can see the canal cross sections...
kindly consider my request & do favour a reply....

you would be better served to run this canal as a corridor, not as feature lines and gradings.
if you need the feature lines later, you can extract them from the corridor model.
