    Default merging two revit projects

i have 2 files for the same project. one was done by a sub contractor (electrical). how do i merge this file into my master mechanical file?

i tried to link and bind and this did not work it left behind the circuits and wires of the electrical.

    thanks russ

i think linking it in is the only thing you can do, why would you bind it? what are you trying to get it to do other than seeing their electrical work in your model? maybe export them both into a Navis file?

ok then if you can't merge after the project is over. is there a way to split the drawing in the beginning with work sets to share between 2 separate networks?

Revit Server will let multiple offices work on one live central file, IF you can get the IT people to open up ports and other things they won't want to do... it's designed for one company with multiple offices, but i've heard of teamed companies making it work

i know our company wont ever allow that... oh well it is what it is. hopefully Revit wises up to the way the industry actually works.
