How to align curtain walls on a diamond shape volume

Hello Everybody,

I am working on a diamond shaped building with flat facettes at different angles. Once I have applied my curtainwall - pattern based - my volume is covered by grids which dont match up at angles. I know that you can handle the offset and angle for each face - but isn't there a more intelligent way - less arts and crafts - way to do it ???

What cut of diamond are you working with? Round, Pear, Princess....

Sorry, I didn't manage to attach these pics in the first one - I would say princes diamond ???

The second image shows the methode I had in my mind but maybe there is a better one ?
