    Default feed thru lugs

    Hi everyone.

I brand new to this board and to Revit. Trying to learn for my company how to design in Revit a secondary panelboard fed by another panelboard with feed thru lugs, NOT via a 3P breaker.

Any suggestions? I'm a real novice at this point so I apologize in advance.

Set the number of poles in the panel to 48. THen use a 42 circuit panelboard schedule. put the feed thru panel on circuits 43,45,47. It won't show up in the schedule, but it will still be connected.

Thanks for the tip. Ok, we set the number of poles to 48 on our 42 pole panel in the properties box. How do I put the next feed thru panel on cks 43,45,47? I cant find where to change the circuit.

Apparently we changed the default 42 space panel board to a 48 space panel board. Then we were able to use a "spare" breaker and relabel, Sub feed lug area.

For the actual lugs we circuited the secondary 3Ø panel and moved the 3p breaker all the way down to cks 43,45,47. Then relabled the 3Ø break to feed thru lugs.

    What a hassle...

Welcome to Revit. It's all uphill from here. Don't forget to apply a 42 space template afterwards to "hide" your subfeed breaker in your panel schedule. Since no one said it directly, Revit does not support actual sub feed lugs. This is the work around. Get used to the phrase "work around".

I just changed the "# of Single Pole Breakers" parameter to 84 and added a parameter to double the width of the tub if that number was larger than 42.
