Default Showcase - anyone using this?

I am looking for alternatives for rendering a walkthrough. Has anyone done anything with Showcase?

This does not say anything about Revit.

Does say it can be launched from inside 2013.

Showcase is cool...yes it works with Revit, and in a Building Design Suite, it will open with the "one click suites workflows" directly from within Revit. It's one of the easiest programs for creating animations and making movies of them to send to customers. What else would you like to know?

Using the 2013 Showcase trial version and a Revit FBX file, I was surprised that I could change the size of Revit geometry, duplicate geometry, as well as change the location of objects, while working in Showcase. (I thought it primarily did quick, material changes on objects.) In the AREA forum, users have posted comments about working with Showcase. http://area.autodesk.com/forum/searc...result/398182/
I have Showcase on a laptop with an Intel Core 2 processor with 4 GB of RAM, and an NVIDIA Quadro NVS 140M. The dialog box graphics are slow to display. The rendered image on the screen is good all of the time. The transform icon is slow to respond when selected. Overall, the time spent with Showcase (90 min.) has been enjoyable.

Can you point me to a place where I can see how to do this? Is there a video showing how? I need quick and dirty on getting a fly around possibly done.

This is a 2013 feature. You can still export to FBX and open in Showcase in 2012, but in 2013 it is a "one-click" operation. The Revit project is exported, Shaowcase is opened and the Revit model is imported all with "one click".

Its a bit of a basic high level video, but here is my introduction to Showcase.

Is there an AUGI forum for showcase? I can see one in (possibly) Chinese, but nothing in English.
