Default Why did my 3D Cad file double is size?

I am working with AutoCad 2010.

I am doing a 3D framing model for BIM coordination. I have each floor 1 thru 5 on separate files.

The file size for each floor is about 10-15 MB. For some reason when I was modifying my floor 2, and 5 file the file size jumped to 70-80 MB.

I am using the same extruded members all over and just modifying them a little bit. Does anyone know why it would jump up like that and also what could be containing so much data.

    Thanks for your help.

I doubt this would represent a 50-60 mb jump...but try purging registered applications.

    Can you post the file?

Yeah I definitely tried purging the file of anything extra, including the applications. I think it has something to do with joining and then separating 3D extruded shapes, and or copying them.
The strangest thing to me is that I have used the same methods on each floor and it's only the 2 that are huge and the others have maintained a normal size.

It might be worth checking the values of SOLIDHIST in each file.

After SOLIDHIST as suggested by John, and it turns out that it was enabled, BREP all solids, to remove all history.

Did you save to previous version?

Thank you for your input! My solidhist was set to 0 but by using the brep command I shaved 20 megs of the filesize. So it is still pretty huge but that def helps me out.....

Try to WBLOCK only the needed objects?
