Diagonal lines printing in shaded hatches

We regularly use solid shaded hatches on our projects. Recently, since upgrading to ACAD Architecture 2013, when we export our drawings to PDF and then send the PDF files to a local printer, a diagonal line is printed through all of the solid shaded hatches. I tried to duplicate the error with our plotter but can't. Anyone have any suggestions? I looked through the PDF files and there are no diagonals on the screen. I also looked at the PDF files at the printer's office and still there were no lines--they only appear when they print them.

Any help will be appreciated.

I've experienced some of this in the 2012 version also. I forget exactly how I got around this (honestly I think it was random luck), but it either had something to do with a Transparency Setting in the Project Plot Style I was using or the PDF Printer Quality.settings.

We use the Export to PDF option, not plotting to a PDF. There are no settings in ACAD when you Export to PDF. We used to plot to PDF in previous versions and had no problems but when we included sheets with plan specifications, each notes sheet was well over 1 MB in PDF form. When we used Export to PDF, the files were about 300-400 kb, so we started using that to make our PDFs. We did not have the diagonal line issue, though, until upgrading to 2013.
