Default Copy and Paste Parameters From One Part to Another

Summary: dialog to another parts parameter list

Description: I wish it was possible to copy an entire row (or multiple rows) from the User Parameters in the Parameters dialog, then go to another part, open the Parameters dialog and paste the entire row(s)

How Used: I would use the copy/paste ability to transfer parameters between parts.

    Feature Affinity: Part Modeling

this is easily achieved by deriving to the source, pulling through the parameters. Then break the link, then delete the derived node. The parameters switch from the greyed out 'linked' section at the bottom, to the User Parameters section. It's a pretty quick process once you've done it a couple of times.

Why would you want to copy-paste when you're better off linking?

This in a good wish. There is a need for copying parameters from part to part because you might have done some nice or long formulas on one part and you wan't you use the same one on another. Linking shouldn't be done between parts that don't really have anything to do with each other (and the calculated value might not be the right one!). This is just one reason for copying - there are others also like some smart naming of parameters. In perfect world you could make copies of "smart" part, but in real life the roots of parts are not so simple (old parts or copies of them).
