Default New plan view, no underlay please!

Is there any way to control whether or not there is an underlay when you create a new plan view? Or is there a hidden way to specify the underlay (or lack thereof) in a view template?

Every time I create a batch of plan views, I have to go one-by-one and set the underlay to none.

    Thoughts? Suggestions?

It seems like there is no way to fix that behavior however here is the post where you can find a python script that will batch-change Underlay setting to None for any selected views
