    Default Find and Replace Command

I got a new computer so my settings are all new. When I select something and use the find and replace command, it always searches the entire drawing. The pull down menu for currrent drawing is greyed out so I can't select it. How do I ungrey it and keep it that way? What gives? How do I set it where it searches only what I selected. I know there's a select objects button in the find box that opens up, but that's just an extra step. My old computer did it.

I want to select something and use the find command and revise what I selected, not the entire drawing.

    Hi

Please note I've *moved* this thread from the AutoCAD Customization Forum to this one as I feel this particular Forum is a more appropriate place for such a topic.

    Thanks, Mike

    Hi

Do you mean -> you are pre-selecting the Text Objects -> running the _.FIND command -> then again having to select the Text Objects?

If yes, take a look system variable PickFirst (if set to 0 set it to 1).

    Have a good one, Mike

    Hi Mike,

Yes, I mean preselect, find, and it doesn't change the preselected, instead it changes the entire drawing. So then I have to select it again what I want changed.

The PickFirst has always been set to 1 and it still doesn't work.
