Default How to tag slab (structure) level in a multi layer floor?

    Hi guys,
For those who are using multilayer slab technique (having flooring finish and slab in one floor):
How do you tag slab level in your Slab Plan?
Spot Elevation always tags the finished floor level (floor finish). I can't tag the actual slab level under the floor finish.

This is why I always use 2 floor technique where 1st floor is floor finish and 2nd floor is slab underneath.

I wanted to know if it was worth switching from 2 floor technique to multilayered floor.

I think, using separate floor elements, one structural, one architectural (or, as you say, the 2-floor technique), is the approach that has more advantages.

I agree with alfredo. Stick with 2 floor approach. You may know this but you could tag top and bottom spot elevation of floor object too. so when you have only ARCH floor model you could show two values of spot elevations, one is top finish elevation and the other one is bottom of floor which is slab level.

That is the most correct way of doing it. but you can also use Parts for that.

Have a look at my screencast.
