You're going to have to clarify a bit -- exactly what 'Civil menu package" are you talking about? From which vendor?

Civil 3d is a separate product, and can't simply be installed as an add-on to the vanilla (aka "Standard") version of AutoCAD, it has to be installed on its own.

... Sounds like a Carlson Survey, Eagle Point, etc., if this is a civil plug-in for AutoCAD (and not a vertical).

    Hi AUGIE Addict,
Thanks for responding. The vendor is Autodesk.

So, the issue is bigger than I thought. I am contributing dwgs to ProjectWise (PW), a Bentley product. This product only works with the Standard version of AutoCAD 2012, not with 3D Civil AutoCAD 2012. I have created/automated plan profile sheets using surface files (Tin files) which PW cannot read. I thought the solution would be to enhance the Standard version of AutoCAD 2012. But, if it cannot be done. Then, would it be possible enhance PW instead?

You'll need to get with your Bentley reseller to find out what can be doen with Projectwise, there's nothing on the Autodesk side that can be done AFAIK
