    No worries; I didn't mean to make you feel bad, as it is impossible (for us mere humans) to remember every command, for every version, etc. IMO.

    I linked the commands, as I frequently consult the documentation myself (be it for the Command List, or Developer Help).

    Man, that tells you just how old this routine is.... I remember my CServe password, but for sure not my CSID. That's probably stashed on a 5-1/4" 360k floppy somewhere....

    interesting -- my dialog for probe shows optins to freeze the xref layer

    Mine looks similar but without the two boxes for freezing and turning off

    That one worked alright cheers.

    That's handy for turning off layers within Blocks alright.

    Also if you just want the name, layer, color, and linetype you can use the Express Tool XLIST command. It works for both blocks and xrefs.
