Properties and Quick Properties are gone from quick menu

Hello guys. In AutoCAD LT 10 I can no longer access either Quick Properties or Properties when I either double click on text or a line for example. The menu that comes up whenever I right click doesn't have them listed on it either. They were listed in that menu until just recently. I can type "Properties" in however.

Clearly I need to get an AutoCAD book but until then, could somebody school me?

Set PICKFIRST variable to 1 and see if that helps. If not, you will need to reinstall LT2010.
