Default Old-format non-associative hatch blocks boundary creation

I have an R14 map with geological rock types represented by hatches and anonymous blocks. I need to generate boundaries on those entities for import into ArcGIS. The hatches are no problem, but when I explode the blocks, they are composed of R12 type ACAD solids instead of actual hatches. I am unable to use BPOLY to create the boundaries.

I hate the thought of manually digitizing them, so any advice will be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Ray

I figured it out. I converted the solids to regions, unioned them, exploded and then used BPOLY. Life is good once again, relatively speaking.

    Thanks,
