Delay or lag switching btw dwgs

Intel Xeon 3.07GHz processor
64-bit system

Does anyone experience an annoying delay or lag when switching between dwgs? I have only 2 drawings up and when switching back and forth between the two there is a very annoying 5 sec or longer delay. I've been dealing with the delay for a few months now, the system worked great for the 1st year instant swaps between dwgs ... I am moments away from uninstalling and reinstalling C3D to hopefully get back the instant switch between dwgs.

If you do have this delay what are some ideas for it's cause?
Have you fixed it?

Well, Not sure if this will pertain to "switching between drawings" but....I notice laggy operations when working on a drawing(s). Got annoying right off the back, then noticed someone else's PC wasn't. So I looked for something dif between , etc.....Conclusion: I always like having the Properties ttolbar up so I know whats up on the whats up always and.....Coworker didn't and.....So I close down the properties window, FLYS LIKE A CHAMP.......Really sucks that it does it though cuz I like to be aware of things and it didn't do that type of thing in LandDesktop etc....Oh wel,l chalk it up to one of those ...."boo's on upgrading".....I don't know if this will exactly pertain to your issue, it's more like, it may be just something simple like closing a useful window or an un-usefull one for that matter, may take care of it....Cheers!
