Add wall footing and section of another footing disappears

When I add a footing to a CMU wall that abuts a concrete wall (perpendicular), the footing under the original wall gets "trimmed out" and goes away, even though the concrete wall is still there. (see attached images)

Any ideas?
BTW I have "Do not break at inserts" checked off in case that matters.

In case anyone cares...
What fixed it was dragging the lonber wall that was missing the footing a bit further down so the node went beyond the center line of the adjoining wall and the footing reappeared.

Glad you found a work around. Thanks for sharing! I'm recently searching the forums as we have a client that has decided to go 100% Revit. So we are running into lots of things and if this comes up, we'll be prepared.
