We have been having a lot of problems lately with users ending up mistakenly working in the Central file. We think it is happening when they are trying to create a Local file by opening the Central and using Revit's default "Create New Local" box checked. It seems that if the Central file is busy, it may actually stop creating a Local file and open the Central file instead. There doesn't seem to be a pattern or hard rule as to if this will happen or not.

As it relates to this, we are rethinking our process of always creating a new Local file every time a user opens the file. We have discouraged them from opening their Local files and syncing because we would prefer to have a clean copy of the Central instead. But, now these new problems are making us reconsider.

Has anyone had any similar issues?

Thanks
