Shed Dormer Interior Cleanup

I am new to Revit and I am sure this is very basic, however, for me it has been quite frustrating.

I am placing a shed dormer on an extruded gable roof. After joining the roofs and cutting the hole for the dormer in the extruded roof I am left with an awkward condition where the two roof meet on the inside. Is there a trick to resolving this condition. (See attached PDFs)
