    Default Generic model subcategories

I have a few generic model families in my project: balconies and specialized facade most prominently. All the elements in these families are in subcategories. However, in the project, I can't seem to control the display of those subcategories. In particular, I can't seem to control the lineweight of any subcategory. Only the lineweight of the Generic Models category has any effect on these families. The lineweight for all elements in the family are all the same, regardless of subcategory.

    Am I doing something wrong?

sounds like you created the sub-categories in the family, but never assigned the geometry to the sub-categories.

That's a good guess... I wouldn't put it past myself, but that's not the case. I just checked and I've assigned all the geometry to subcategories. I try to be pretty diligent about that since I apply most of my materials via subcategories.
