How to plot (basic)

Dear friends!
I have a small problem: I started to work in inches couple of months ago.
Until now I didn't print anything in scale.

1. I have no idea of scale in inches ( how does it work)
2. I have no idea of how to print from Autocad with scale in inches.
It's really basic.
I will be very glad to get consultations on subj.
