Default Plotting viewports having Conceptual visual style to Acrobat

When I have ONE viewport showing a 3D model in isometric using Conceptual Visual Style, AutoCAD 2012 will plot my Layout just fine (although I wish I could force text & dimensions to monochrome).

However, when I have more than one Viewport (using a visual style) on a Layout, AutoCAD plots only what exists on the Layout (i.e. in Paper Space) and will NOT plot the contents of the Viewports.

This forces me to using one Layout Tab for each desired Viewport, which IMHO is simply wrong when all could fit on a D-size sheet.

Does anyone know why this happens and is there a way to make AutoCAD do what it should? Could this be a limitation of older hardware?

Moshira - If you'll take a second look at the title of my post you'll see that I'm plotting to Adobe Acrobat (i.e. creating a .PDF). I've tried AutoCAD;s PDF maker as well - same results.

check the MAXACTVP setting .... The allowed maximum No. of viewports

MAXACTVP setting is high enough - if it were too low the Viewports would be empty on the screen and in a Plot Preview. The Plot previews just fine - it's the actual plot output that is blank.

For now, my workaround is simple: one Viewport per Layout Tab.

Try to Audit all the x-ref drawings inserted in your file

    OLDER hardware - no.
Lack of RAM - just possibly,
MAXACTVP is irrelevant at plot time.

Have you tried copying a single working viewport to make two identical vports on one sheet?
