    Default Revision sequencing

Revit only seems to allow you to add revision sequences of A,B,C etc or 1,2,3 etc.

Our company standard is to include the status of the revision at the beginning, and start a new list when the status changes.
    For example, Tender revisions are T1, T2, T2 etc, then Preliminary are P1, P2, P3 etc, then Construction are C1, C2, C3.

I can't see an option within Revits automation of revisions dialogue to allow this customisation.
Can anyone help? Or is it not possible?

If its not possible, has anyone else had a similar requirement and created a workaround?

    Thanks in advance.

You cannot change the order to match what you are describing, so it's work-around time...

I would recommend placing your Revision Number (i.e. "T1") in the "Issued to" field if you are not currently employing it. You can then modify the Revision Schedule and Revision Tag to report "Issued to" value in lieu of "Revision Number".

That workflow (which may well work for you) does mean that you have to do it for every single sheet.

One other alternative is to create it as a Project Parameter (a shared one of course), that is added to your title sheets. This could either be as a Type, or Instance parameter (depending on how your revision sequencing goes) which can then be updated either in the Project Information dialog (Type) or in a sheet schedule (Instance) - where you can also create a filter to change multiple drawing references at once.

I've used this approach for several clients in creating company project templates. It is helpful to have an understanding of the typical number of revisions typically experienced. And how the revisions are to be identified. If the revision information paramenters are associated with the Project Information dialogue box tool that becomes a global solution which will display on all sheets where the revision parameters have been applied to the sheets. "Type" vs "Instance" are very different solutions and results.
