Joists in Robot

Hi Everyone,

I created joists using bar command in Robot Model. When I run the analysis, it come out an error " The current joist span does not satisfy minimum span requirements." I don't know how to solve this error. Can someone help me on this?

Hi,

Check that the length of the joist you have selected and placed is at least as long as the minimum span published in SJI. For instance a 20k3 cannot be specified for spans under 20' (according to one manufacturer's catalog). So if you have a 20k3 that is only 15' long then you will have this error on model verification.
