Default Adding to a printed Mylar sheet

We are dealing with a city that wants us to add our new projects driveways into their mylar record set for the existing street. Normally we would hand draft this onto the mylars but I was looking for an easier solution. Has anyone found a better way to do this? Back in the day we used to have this product called sticky backs. Basically 8.5X11 clear self adhesive sheets that we would print onto and stick onto the mylar sets, I don't think they exist anymore.

A blast from the past. This is a big part of how cut & paste got its name. I've always known them as appliques and a quick Google search for "drafting applique film" shows that they are still obtainable.

Whadya know... I guess it's all about the search terms. We've always called them sticky-backs here, too.

We used sticky-backs here also. We would use them for our lighting & panel schedules and notes. The old days.

sticky back, probably available at an art supply store locally if you're lucky, else online, would have the advantage of making it easy to tell what was original, and what was added to the record set. Durability on the other hand, is more questionable. Since they are using mylar for their archival sets, durability may matter a lot, in which case i'd suggesty breaking out the rapidographs, french curves, triangles, scales, and circle templates.

    fun times ahead...

Drive-ways are standard sizes, right? Plot a bunch at your required scales on sticky back sheets and there you go. Just be careful running sticky back sheets through printers; they melt easy, and they jam easy. Or you can print them on matching size mylar as you stated before-Cut and paste, or tape as I use to do, decades ago.

L-O-V-E-D using sticky-backs...especially if they weren't straight the first time lol Matter of fact, I still have an almost-new box of 8-1/2"x11" sheets at home. Wonder what they would sell for hehe?

I can see the Ebay ad now; "Antique Drawing Accessories. Made life much easier before the advent of the CAD station. Great conversation starter, fun at Parties. Hurry while supplies last"

I remember using "Sticky-Backs" on erasable sepias. One project had many "Sticky-backs" on the E-size sheets, rolled up and filed in pigeon holes.
When they were unrolled a few years later to update, the toner had not fused properly to the plastic and all the "graphics" fell out as a pile of black dust.
