Is there a way to report a list of objects that exist within the 3D extents of a Room?

This can be easily done category by category with a schedule.
Just add parameters for the room name or number to your schedule and sort by that.

I am not aware of a way to do this for all categories in the room however. I tried the same procedures with a "multi-category" schedule without success.

Only certain obbject categories are 'room aware' and that's why you can't do it with a Multi-Cat schedule.
I don't have a cmomprehensive list of objects that fit the bill but you could check and report back to us![]()

A BIM without the 'I' is just a BM - those in the medical profession know what that amounts to
I just created a Multi-Category schedule in the project I am working on. It's a small one, so not the greatest test, but the items that appear are:
Casework
Columns
Curtain Panel
Doors
Duct Accessories
Furniture
Furniture Systems
Generic Models
Lighting Fixtures
Plumbing Fixtures
Security Devices
Specialty Equipment
Structural Columns
Structural Connections
Structural Foundations
Structural Framing
Windows
Not all of them occur in a room, so they report blank. More testing is in order. .-)
Here is a list published at the Wikihelp that may answer what you are looking for.

The biggest problem is with Link files, Revit just can't track room data through them. So we built an app for that. It then makes ANY categories trackable using geometry,
