Is is possible to edit the data for Families and Types? For example, I want the properties of a wall to include the UL listing number, not as user input, but as a property built into the wall type.

Can you not use the Identity data properties, Comments or Mark, for the UL Listing number? This would then be schedulable.

I think what you are looking for is how to add a Type-based parameter to Wall object. This can be done by either going to Manage>Project Parameters or by creating a Wall Schedule and then adding a Project or Shared Parameter. The addition of this parameter to the Wall Type would occur only within this project and would need to be shared with other projects via Transfer Project Settings or simliar methods (residing in your template).

Thanks, I will try that. Does that work for all objects? Can I delete parameters we don't use, such as vendor-specific information?
