AutoCAD installer launches when other programs are opened.

For some reason the AutoCAD installer is launching when I open other programs. Has anyone run into this issue? Any info would be extremely appreciated! Thanks!!!

I have had this problem a couple of times. Usually with freeware programs I was trying out. I didn't worry to much about it since I didn't like these programs and uninstalled them. Then it wasn't a problem any more.

I did some searching and found a few others having the same problem. There just wasn't any solutions. There were a couple saying to uninstall AutoCAD and reinstall it.

I had the same problem with my AutoCAD installation. It appears to be a Registry issue, unfortunately I've never found the best solution. I've even un-installed and re-installed it.. same problem.

Finally I uninstalled it, restarted, then cleaned the registry using a registry cleaner.. restarted again and installed. It didn't happen again.

So likely my solution was over-kill, but it did finally help...

But WHY does this happen? I'm not sure why the install created the issue, but it seemed to be something in the way the CAD installation wrote itself to the registry.
