Default converting project file to a template file

we have developed a project file to a point where we would like to save it as a template file so we can use it for the basis of our future projects. I have opened the file as 'detach from central' then gone to Save As Template, but when I do that I get prompted that "you cannot use worksharking with template files (*.rte)" and then it does not let me save the template file. I assumed since this has been detached from central (and saved on its own) worksharing is no longer on:
1). how can I properly turn off worksharing?
2). how can I convert this project file to a template file?

    Thank you for your help.

In any version of Revit before 2012, you can't remove worksharing. In 2012, or later, when you detach from central a window pops up giving you the choice of preserving worksets or not.

So that's the reason for that option. Makes sense, I suppose.
